ok dense is a mild word, it's more like an assimilation of irritating + idiotic-ness + plus another other negative words u can think of.

I don't understand whats so difficult about this "Get the results based on the current estimates that we have, might not be satisfactory, but at least we have the results to finish the report/presentation slides n there'll be time to rehearse whatsoever"

I've been tellin that idiotic guy for weeks..
firstly.. he likes to put off his own work n complain about our work.. say ohh we need to calculate the data this way.. ooh the book says this.. this book says that.. ooh we need more data estimates..
WAKE UP DUDE r u doin research or doin project? u can be all theoretically correct u want for research.. but for project.. results r all that matters whatever assumptions we make in between are not called assumptions for no reason. IDIOT

then come to his part.. initially he refused to use the model that the prof suggested saying that its not a good model to use didnt give good estmates blah blah ( u know the prof has a good reason to suggest that model.. because even though the results arent as good as other more complocated models.. it is easier to calibrate)

ok fine.. he found this wonderful model from somewhere n claimed that he needs much more data then what he has now
then i think he wasted 2 days tryin to get the data.. then calibrate the model..
only to find out i dunno 1.5 week later? that the model doesn't work so he has to switch back to the old model that the prof suggested. IDIOT

ok i've decided to not talk about other idiot things that he has done... ( he has done enough such that none of us bother to talk to him.. if not for our project)

the situation now is.. he needs one more parameter which he doesnt know how to estimate n he refused to use the suggested number... he wants to estimate it from our own set of data... n he wants to talk to the professor about it.

Thats all fine, except, our presentation is *check check* less then 24 freaking hours away..
and our report which was supposed to be due yesterday is undone

n we hv a gazilion things left to do
get the estimate ( assumin he can somehow calculate.. but i doubt n we will hv to use the suggested value after wasting hours )

run the codes ( this is goin to take sometime again because stupid him prolly didnt check whether the codes work since he hasnt gotten all the parametsr before)
get results

plot graphs
compare results

(ok tjats just the report)

then presentation slides

oh i didnt mention about when he made us waste so much time in our work because he thinks that what we did is incorrect n we shld do whats theoretically correct

why? because it gives us the best results and everything else can be explained..

what he likes to do is to read some freakin textbooks.. get some theory out then keep modifyin accordin to the different theories he read
and in the end couldnt even get results n hv to do it all over again

even though the prof said u can hand it to him after the presentation on friday.. and by doin so i presume we've already put ourselves not in a very good light for handing in late.. the reason why prof wants us to hand in our reports 2 days before is so that he can get an overview of the projects before we actually present...
