Back from road trip @ 12:02 AM
With a sore butt and sore feet, I will come to that again later.
Basically, We spent about 4 days 3 nights driving around nearby villages around London. Even though I offered my driving services, the only place I actually got to drive was in the carpark, and i suck at it. I guess i really need to take the refresher's course when I am back in SG for good, especially perfecting the technique of lane changing.
To be honest, this trip was decided because I would not be able to get a visa to nearby EU countries, given that my UK student visa is expiring in a few mths time, and a trip to Morroco ( the only exciting place that I don't need a visa for) is too expensive. Thus, I didn't get my hopes high or anything, it was just a mere distraction from all the studying in London. (ha!) But, I've come to realised, I enjoyed staying in farms, visiting the villages, sitting in the cafes sipping afternoon tea. I guess I have grown older since my previous version of an enjoyable holiday would mean themepark, good food plus shopping! Of course, the food is good. I ate so much that I had to poo two times today, and the 2nd poo was so large that I had to flush two times. Ha, anyway, I really enjoyed staying in the farms. Its a different experience from staying in hostels, inns or hotels. The rooms are really really comfy (course it's someone else's houses), and the hosts r really friendly. Of course, I wasn't the one who struck the conversation. As for the villages, its nice to just laze around, enjoy the fresh air, and the company of friendly pple.
But the downside is, the weather was too cold! I have only myself to blame, I didn't get my thickest coat dry cleaned, so I was left with my 2nd thickest jacket. And for aesthetic purposes (even though not much) I refused to wear tacky looking waterproog jackets plus oversized pullovers. So half the time I was freezing like hell, and end up with stiff shoulders almost every night.
We also went horse riding on the last day, my first time, an unforgetable experience. It felt even more real because we watched a movie set in the classical period, and pple then rode horses. The horse that I rode on was super tall! Thus I probably hurt my feet a little course of the impact I create when I jumped down, and it was a little restless as well, sometimes fighting with the other horse. Halfway through the ride, it started snowing, and then hailing. And I end up freezing my ass off. My fingers were so cold that I couldnt really close them and grasp the rein properly.
As U have realised, I am totally babbling, because I can't really be bothered to organise my thoughts. Thus, I have decided to stop blogging.. and prolly post some pictures. ( when I am bored next time)
