3 weeks of my life @ 10:49 PM

In the midst of waiting for my hair to dry, waiting for my bedsheets n duvet cover to dry, filing ( finally ) my notes n exercise, and , clearing files from my HD.

Decided that I have neglected this blog long enough and that I should update a new post.

Tomorrow have to fetch charlene from the airport ( freaking early mannnnn!! ) her plane will land at 5.05 am. But the first train leaving from the station is 5.37 am. So, not my fault ah. Then again, I still have to leave my house by 5.00 am, course I still gotta take a bus down to the tube station.

Anyway, the last time since I last blogged was Nov 17, lemme attempt to recall what I did after Nov 17.

Nov 19 Sunday
Met Coussie for lunch at four seasons ( the 2nd time I have been since I returned to London. ) damn, the duck's still as good. Almost finished one whole plate. I am a pig.

Nov 20 Monday
Went to my friend's house and learn to play poker. We played 2 tournaments. The first one, everybody put in 1 pound, the 2nd game, 2 pounds. the first n first-runner up split the winnings. The first game, I was quite stupid, I kept making stupid comments, and was out of the game pretty quick. the 2nd game, I became smarter, and managed to be in the last 4 ppls remaining.

Nov 22 Wednesday,
went to meet my Peronsal tutor. Was thoroughly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, he is a nice and humourours person. BUt, he is just a part time teacher in LSE. Ok, not that I am prejudice about part time teachers, but when i asked him about actuarial and stuff, he can't give me an answer, course he is not an expert in that. but anyway, I will not have a strong reference in my internships applications.

Nov 23 Thursday,
Went for this Citibank event in LSE, where I was given an Overview of what is capital Markets, the operations involved etc. We also took part in a case study. Realise that, banking is a rather interesting field to work in. Walk out feeling a little regretful that I chose Actuarial Science ( which doesnt seem as interesting ). Oh, and actuaries don't earn a lot, compared to those involved in I banking. Actuaries just have better work life balance, and earn more compared to other office type of work. Then I decided, since i am too lazy anyway, I banking is definitely not suited for me. but, I may decide to choose a course related to banking n investment when i study my masters, we shall see..

Went for dinner at this thai restaurant. then went to play poker again. 2 pounds tournament. Poker is really quite fun!!

Nov 25 Saturday,
went to whitechapel ( zone 2 ) to help paint the props for this musical called excess baggage. Lazy to explain what it is, but u can check it out at this website. www.excessbaggage-themusical.com.
This is the first time I am involved in a musical production. anyway, we were suppose to paint wooden boards, to be the wall panels. The painting were quiet easy ( well u gotta squat here n there, and try to manouver urself through the limited spaces ). BUt the irritating part is that we got to keep shiftin the boards, course there wasn't enough place to lay all the wood flat in the ground to dry it.

Nov 28 Tuesday,
Went to Jap Soc clubbing event. the theme is called first Date where guys are given keys n girls are given locks, and the first 10 pairs to match with each other win a bottle of champagne each. We queued for lmost an hour before we were told that we could actually just go into the club immediately course we bough tickets b4 hand. damn.
Well, it's quite fun la.. except that I didnt get to meet any jap guys. OUCH. had 4 tequila shots before dancing... But this time I was careful. I didnt really drink after that..but kept on drinking water to neutralize the alcohol. But the guys were damn genenourous la.. after the tequila, they bought bourbon coke ( whiskey + coke ) redbull vodka and i can't remember what. But i didnt drink la. Well.. true enough.. my friend got drunk. So we spent the last hour in the club sitting at someone's else table and slacking.. wuhahaha..

Nov 30 Thursday
Had the worse dinner ever. the most sucky teriyaki beef rice u can ever find. refuse to make further comments.

Went for clubbin again ( ain't I happening? ) This time it is a joint evet organised by Sing Soc and Malaysia Soc. Quite fun! and i tasted champagne for the first time. Champagne is one of the nicest alcoholic drinks around! It makes u high n happy, and yet wont get you drunk, course the alcohol content isn't that high.
Howvere, it ended early n abruptly. By 1.30 am, the club were like making announcements, asking pple to leave. that was really anti climax, and it didnt help that when we were outside the club thinking of what we should do next, the security guards kept askin us to move away.
A lot of my friends didnt enjoy it though, not only of the abrupt end, its course the theme was suppose to be Mambo, but the Mambo music were short lived. Something went wrong with the CD or what. But i didnt notice it, course i got no idea what Mambo music is.

went for supper at china town after that. damn fattening to be eating duck rice at 2.30 am .

Dec 1 friday.
damn tired. Skipped my first lecture. But decided that I should attend the rest.

Dec 2 Saturday
went to paint again. But this time, i had to travel to zone 4 to this place called oriental city. It is a shoppin complex owned by a singaporean ( who is the sponsor of the musical). had to go there because that's the only place big enough to accomodate the painting of the back drop ( a cloth measuring 6 m by 8 m. ( freaking big )
we painted in the car park. Since i didnt want to dirty my jacket, i took it off. so i was wearing only a t-shirt in the cold. i think its like less than 10 degrees? and the wind was strong at certain periods. Its amazing that i didnt fall sick.

Dec 3 Sunday
back ache. muscle ache. from all the squattin n kneeling while painting.
suppose to be studyin for my test on monday, but end up playing mahjong.
lost 30 p. OUCH

Dec 4 monday
TEST! I didnt manage to finish all three practise test paper. But i think i did okay. Will get the test paper back tml.

Dec 5 tuesday
met up with shujun n her bro and went to the korean place near my school.
Even though there are mad cow disease spreadin around, we ordered beef anyway. and one of the dish is raw beef.! But nice! but, if cynthia become mad 15 years later. U WILL KNOW WHY.

Dec 6 wednesday
watched Casino Royale. I seriously think it is the best BOND movie i have watched so far. ( well.. except the fact that the actor isnt that good looking ) BUt the movie is really goood! everybody should watch!!

Dec 7 Thursday ( today!)
had dinner at this indonesian restaurant. DISAPPOINTING. i think i can cook better.
but well.. at least was consoled by the fact that it wasnt that expensive.
changed my bed sheets n my duvet cover.
vacuum my room ( full of hair )
clean my room.

ok.. it's 11.30 pm now.
gotta go back to filing my notes..
and foldin my bedsheets n duvet cover...
and them sleeep
